The film’s subtitle, “Folie a Deux,” means “madness for two” in French
Scenario
Failed comedian Arthur Fleck struggles with his dual identity and meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and director and screenwriter Todd Phillips share what scared them most about the musical sequel. Gaga also talks about how she got her dark role and stuck with it.
It is also known as Lasègue-Falret syndrome
This initially led to speculation that Harley Quinn would appear in the film, which was confirmed shortly afterwards. The name “Folie a Deux” dates back to the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret. The term was coined to describe two or more people suffering from the same madness or delusion.

Merrily We Roll AlongWritten by Eddie Cantor, Murray Mencher, and Charles Tobias
I absolutely loved the first Joker movie directed by Todd Phillips, but I have to say, what the hell were they thinking when they decided to make a sequel. Unlike the first film, this film has virtually no plot, but rather a series of weird, delusional vignettes thrown together with musical numbers that got boring very quickly and made the runtime much longer than it needed to be given how unentertaining the film was. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a decent performance, but it’s nowhere near as good as it was in the first film.
I was undecided when I saw the trailer, but having seen it now, I kind of wish I hadn’t
I waited in anticipation, thinking this had to be leading up to a big moment that unfortunately never comes, and instead I was left with nothing but disappointment as the film ended worse than it started. If you’re a fan of the first film, it’s pretty uncertain whether you’ll like this one or not, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
