All the episode titles are from songs by heavy metal/hard rock bands
Scenario
Follows a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who exploit the town’s sudden interest in the occult to gain a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a strange series of events triggers a witch hunt that comes back to haunt them. “Hysteria” by Def Lepard, “Heaven’s on fire” by KISS, “Speaking in languages Meatloaf”, “Can I play with madness” by Iron Maiden, “Die young” by Black Sabbath, “Mother Danzig”, “It’s late Queen”, and “Dance Macabre” by Ghost.
There’s not a lot of fun to be had in these episodes
A few memorable characters manage to rise above the poor direction and writing. The “teenagers” aren’t nerdy or sassy, but they do talk like twenty-somethings.
The episodes are too long; the only quality of teen horror is brevity
They say things that the director clearly didn’t take the time to explain to them – so it’s not funny or a secret joke. Even the main characters are 100% caricatures; I should like at least one of them and I wouldn’t want them to die a horrible death.
Get in, get scared, and LEAVE!
This is a 6/10, not a 5/10 because of Bruce Campbell. Instead, watch season 4 of Stanger Things and see a true representation of this age in the form of Eddy.
