Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to be stranded in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law and other stars from “Skeleton Crew” from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neil’s younger siblings is the same one that Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
I was so happy when I saw the first episode that it was about 40 minutes long
I think the series has been great so far, but there’s one problem that really bothers me: the running time. Then came the second episode: it’s not even 25 minutes long if you include flashbacks and credits. If I had 25 minutes of the show every week, I’d have to watch what happened last week.
As for the cast: God, they’re kids
As soon as we can’t get lost in the universe anymore, we’re already warmed up to it, and it’s already over. Incredibly disappointing! I probably won’t watch it for months and try to avoid all spoilers so I can see the whole thing next year.
It’s clear they haven’t had years of acting training
However, the main characters are endearing, the music is appropriate, and the action isn’t exactly kid-friendly. After two episodes, I can’t wait to see what happens next, but unfortunately I won’t know until next year.
